Hey folks, we’ve been keepin busy lately, getting our hands dirty, growing and learning, reapin and sowing and tearin it up any chance we get!  The TS four year party in a snow storm was unforgettable, sugar and smoked fueled mayhem. Sorry if ya missed it. The cupcakes were delicious! TS also just played an original line-up show this past week in milford, NJ at our old stomping grounds, the Ship Inn. It had been a little while since the three of us had shared a stage at once, and i tell ya, the guys didn’t miss a beat! And that sound was hug! Forgot what it felt like having all that power backing me up. The people’s hair, it was all windswept! The girls danced!(love that) Most the guys drank.(that’s cool yo’s) BEN got down! (love ya buddy) We love to rock yous. And honorable mention to cArolyn G. for rocking the last few shows with us on crazy hand drums that i still can’t pronounce.

Which brings me to the next thing. TOP SOiL has gone thru some changes recently and will continue to as we continue on. And i’m syked about it! Lucky is back on UPright bass most of the time now. We’ve been playing as a duo and also with C.G. filling in a bit. I’m playing with a few different friends on drums which has been really fun, and we’re all looking around wondering who else we know that might want in. Opening up the ranks to some other types of players to see what happens. So let’s see what happens. Horns, strings, stick & an ol’ oil drum? Wanna play? email us.

As for now, feverishly writing for a bunch of different projects coming up this year! Possibly more than one split record and a new TS ep, as well as a side project with some soilers and other good friends from the area and beyond(whatch out!)  Keep an eye on burningenterprises.org for all this stuff and more! btw, all TS records are still available on our bandcamp page for download. You can order our actual real life 7″, THiS COULD BE FiRE, from us or Interpunk.com and we’ll mail it right to ya with download card intact.

Which is always fun if yer into that sorta thing. SQuidd will be playing a solo set with good bud and acoustic punker, Divided Heaven, at the Ship Inn in Milford, NJ  this coming Tuesday night October 9th! The set will run from 10-11pm split between SQuidd and Divided Heaven.

Anyone who’s not familiar with Divided Heaven check link below.  He’s an acoustic punk warrior named Jeff Berman fresh off a European tour and primed to rock you! Originally an east coaster and old friend of SQuidd’s, Jeff is former member of legendary philly punks, the Boils.  He moved to LA a few years back, but since the release of his latest record, Rival Cities, we’ve been seeing a lot more of him again back east. And that rules for us!  TOP SOil played with him in New Brunswick earlier this year and he really got the crowd goin!

Its called, This Could be Fire, and we couldn’t be happier with how its turned out.  No worries for those of you without a record player, digital download included! Also SQuidd just booked a solo show in Brooklyn on Saturday October 20th with Divided Heaven! No details yet except its a house show and its gonna rule! let ya know soon!
